McWay fall which falls directly into Ocean
McWay falls is located near Big Sur, California. It is a 80 feet waterfall and the water directly falls into Pacific Ocean. The waterfall acts as an ornament to beautiful Pacific Ocean. This is the second other falls which fall directly into ocean.
To access this area, we need to stop in Highway 1 and then walk down half a mile to get to this point. No we cannot go and touch the waterfall but you can have a view from the nearest cliff. The view is awesome if you have sunny weather.
If you are starting from Los Angeles, then you need to go up north along the pacific coastal area for around three hundred miles. If you are going along the coastal highway 1, then you may want to stay at Montreal overnight to be able to cover everything on the highway.
Coastal highway 1 is very beautiful and with the horizon view, you would almost want to stop everywhere. Pacific coastal line with mountains creates an amazing beauty. You may not believe without seeing it with your own eyes.
As per wikipedia, it was named after pioneer homesteader Christopher McWay but it was bought out from him at the year 1924.
